Earth
Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. Almost 8 billion humans live on Earth and depend on its biosphere and natural resources for their survival. The modern English word Earth developed, via Middle English, from an Old English noun most often spelled eorðe.
