Death of Ayrton Senna
Ayrton Senna was killed at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. He was leading the race when his car crashed into a concrete barrier. The previous day, Austrian driver Roland Ratzenberger had died. The crash became a turning point in the safety of Formula One.
