Dear Basketball is a 2017 American animated film written and narrated by Kobe Bryant. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 90th Academy Awards. The film is based on a letter Bryant wrote for The Players’ Tribune on November 29, 2015, announcing his retirement from basketball.
