Alcibiades
Alcibiades was a prominent Athenian statesman, orator, and general. He was married to Hipparete, a wealthy Athenian woman. He had a close relationship with Socrates, whom he admired and admired. He is said to have saved Socrates’ life at the Battle of Potia in 432 BC.
