Airbnb is an American vacation rental online marketplace company based in San Francisco, California, United States. The company was founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky, Nathan Blecharczyk and Joe Gebbia. On August 19, 2020, Airbnb announced that it had filed for an initial public offering. In December 2020, the company went public with a valuation of over USD 100 billion.
