About Snoh Aalegra in brief
Snoh Nowrozi (born 13 September 1987) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Her debut album Feels was released in 2017, followed by Ugh, Those Feels Again in 2019. In 2014, she became a protégé of Prince, after he discovered her music and reached out to her. She recorded the song “Wolves Are Out Tonight” for the soundtrack to the EPIX of the television series Godfather of Harlem, starring Michael B. Jordan. Her single “Nothing Burns Like the Cold” was used by Apple for their iPhone XS announcement video and commercials.
She has also appeared on Common’s tenth studio album, Nobody’s Smiling, featuring on the song, “Hustle Harder” and on Vince Staples’ debut album, Summertime ’06. She released her first single as Snoh Aalegra, “Emotional”, on 11 February 2015, produced by RZA. She added “Aalegra” to her stage name, because it means “joyful” in Italian and because there was already an artist named Snoh. She is currently working on her second album, which is considered to be a sequel to Feels.
