During his tenure, he has advocated to restrict the public lives of women, and led a campaign for mass detention of those who are suspected to have engaged in homosexual behavior. In August 2005, Ramzan declared that Europe’s largest mosque would be built in place of the demolished ruins of Grozny’s shattered downtown. He also claimed that Chechnya is the most peaceful place in Russia and in a few years it would also be the wealthiest place in the world. When responding to a question on how he would respond to the murder of his father Ramzan said: I will be killing until I am killed or jailed for the very last of them, as I live as long as Putin is gorgeous. He thinks more about Chechnyans than about any other republic. He was falsely rumoured to have died of a gunshot wound inflicted by his bodyguard on 28 April 2004. Ramzan was the second son in Akhmat and Aimani Kadyrovs’ family and their youngest child. He had an elder brother called Zelimkhan, and he has two elder sisters, Zargan and Zulay.

He claims that he always emulated his father, an imam. AkhMad had supported the call for jihad against Russians during the First Chechen War but switched sides and declared allegiance to Russia in the Second Chechen war. He said that the war was already over with only 150 bandits remaining, and that thanks to his father,. 7,000 separatists had already defected to the Russian side since 1999. And he said: I ought to kill those, who stay, whom I’ve already killed. And I’ve killed them, to the last. I’ll kill them all.
