The last Pink Floyd studio album, The Endless River, was based on unreleased material from the Division Bell recording sessions. The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are among thebest-selling albums of alltime, and both have been inducting into the Grammy Hall of Hall of Famer. The Wall – The Wall, a musical film based on The Wall album, won two BAFTA Awards. Pink Floyd died in 2006, and Richard Wright in 2008. They reunited for a one-off performance at the global awareness event Live 8 in 2005, and have since played a number of reunion concerts, including in the UK and the US. The Floyd have been awarded the Polar Music Prize for their contribution to modern music. They have been described as the “first British psychedelia groups” and the “most influential band of the 1960s and 1970s” Pink Floyd’s hits include \”See Emily Play\”, \”Money\”, the three-part composition \”Another Brick in the Wall\” and \”On the Turning Away\” The band also composed several film scores, including the score for the film The Wall.

The group’s last album was The Wall – The Wall (1980), which was recorded at a studio in West Hampstead, London, and released in October 1980. The final Pink Floyd album was Pink Floyd – The Division Bell (1980) and was released in March 1981. It was the band’s last studio album before they went on to tour the world and play at the Monterey Pop Festival in California in October 1981. The album was followed by a tour of the United States and Europe, and a UK tour in October and November 1982. The tour was the last time Pink Floyd played together before the band broke up in 1984. The first Pink Floyd concert was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, on November 21, 1982. Pink Floyd was the last Pink  Floyd concert to take place before the group’s break-up. The group was initially called the Tea Set, and later the Pink Floyd, with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Syd Barrett. The Pink Floyd were formed by students Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright. Barrett, two years younger, had moved to London in 1962 to study at the Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts. Mason moved out after the 1964 academic year, and guitarist Bob Klose moved in during September 1964, prompting Waters’ switch to bass. Waters played lead guitar, Mason drums, and Wright rhythm guitar.
