She also originated the role in the off-Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 in 2012. Most recently, Soo appeared on Broadway in The Parisian Woman, which ran from November 2017 to March 2018.

She appeared in the film Over the Moon playing the voice of Chang’e. Soo became engaged to actor Steven Pasquale in February 2017. In 2019, the two starred opposite each other in an episode of The Code. For her 30th birthday in 2020 she got a puppy named Billie, who she plans to name Billie Billie in 2020. She was born in Libertyville, Illinois to a European-American mother and a Chinese-American father.
