Nicolas Pépé is a French footballer who plays as a winger for Arsenal and the Ivory Coast national team. He began his senior club career with Angers in 2013, and spent a season on loan at Orléans in 2015. He signed for Lille in 2017, and was named to the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year in the 2018–19 season. In the summer of 2019, he joined Arsenal for a club-record fee of £72million.

He made his Arsenal debut against Newcastle United on 11 August. PéPé scored his first Arsenal goal in the 3–2 Europa League win over Vitória de Guimarães. He also made his Ivory Coast debut in a friendly against France on 15 November 2016. He was born in Mantes-la-Jolie, Île-de-France, and is of Ivorian descent. He has played for Angers, Lille, Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, Lorient, Montpellier and Auxerre.

He is also a member of the France Under-21 squad and the French Under-23 squad. He won the FA Cup with Arsenal in his debut season, and won the Champions League with the club in his second year at the age of 24. He scored 22 goals, second only to PSG’s Kylian Mbappé, with 11 assists, in the Ligue1 season. He played in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid in May 2018. He helped Arsenal to a 3–1 win over Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup final. He joined Arsenal in the summer for a record fee of €79 million, eclipsing the previous record of €62 million for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
