Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays for the West Indies cricket team in international matches. He also plays for Trinidad and Tobago in West Indian domestic matches. Pooran made his international debut at the 2014 Under-19 World Cup. He made his ODI debut against England on 20 February 2019.

In September 2016, he made his Twenty20 International debut in the T20 series against India. On 1 July 2019, Pooran was named in West Indies’ squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.

He finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer for the team, with 379 runs in eleven matches. In December 2018, he played for the Kings XI Punjab in the player auction of the 2019 Indian Premier League for 4. 2 crore. He has also played for Islamabad United in the 2017 Pakistan Super League as he was drafted in as a replacement of England’s Ben Duckett in United’s squad. He played for Karachi Kings in the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League.
