In 2020, Kitty Pryde was revealed to be bisexual, considering Rachel Summers as a possible love interest for her. In the X-men film series, Kitty was portrayed by young actresses in cameos: Sumela Kay in X- men and Katie Stuart in X2. In the series Marauders, she is now informally known as Captain Kate Pryde and The Red Queen of the Hellfire Trading Company. She has mixed feelings about her fictional counterpart, saying she wishes people would appreciate her real-life name more than just ‘Kitty Pryde’: Katherine Anne D. Pryde: D. D. P. She became so overwhelmed by attention from Shadowcat fans, she abbreviated her name to K. A. D Pryde to avoid association with the fictional counterpart. She was portrayed in the 2002 mini-series Mekanix and came back to the mainX-Men books in 2004 under the pen of Joss Whedon. In early 2015, she joined the Guardians of the Galaxy. After the Secret Wars event, she adopted her new alias, Star-Lord.

In 2016, she assumed her fiancé’s superhero identity as the Star- Lord. She appeared in the film X- Men: Days of Future Past. She also starred in the TV series X2: The Last Stand and X-Women: The Next Generation. She had a cameo appearance in the 2012 film The Wolverine. She appears in the movie The Wolverine: The First Avenger, which was released in theaters on November 14, 2012. She will also appear in the upcoming X-Force: The New X-Man, which will be released on November 16, 2013. The movie is based on the comic book series The X- Force: The Second Generation, which has been adapted into a film by The Weinstein Company. The film is expected to be released in 2015. The first film is scheduled to be directed by Quentin Tarantino and co-written by Tom Hanks and directed by Tom Charity. The second film is due out in 2016 and is set in the future. The third film will be X-Factor: The Final Stand, which is scheduled for release on November 25, 2014. The fourth film is X-Woman: The Movie, which airs on November 28, 2015. She first appeared as a 13-year-old girl in Uncannies X-Mens #129. She later became a full-fledged X- man in issue #139. She matures from a girl to a young woman, adopting the new name \”Shadowcat\”. In the six-issue miniseries Kitty Pry de and Wolverine, she was renamed Shadowcat.
