Kathryn Lee Gifford is an American television presenter, singer, songwriter, occasional actress and author. She is best known for her 15-year run on the talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee. She also hosted the fourth hour of NBC’s Today show with Hoda Kotb for 11 years.

She has received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations and won her first in 2010 as part of the Today team. On December 11, 2018, it was announced that she would be leaving Today in April 2019. Her final Today Show appearance was on April 5, 2019 with a party, including a video by her children, Cody and Cassidy. In 2018 she filmed a movie for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries called A Godwink Christmas & Christmas Mysteries & Hallmark Hall of Fame Movies & Hall of fame Movies &Hall of Fame Games. Giffords is married to sportscaster and former NFL player Frank GiffORD, who died in 2015. She and her children won the Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host in 2019, they won a Cody Cassidy Award for their work in the movie Then Came You, which she co-stars in with Craig Ferguson.

She was born in Paris, France, to American parents, Joan, a singer, and Aaron Epstein, a musician and former US Navy Chief Petty Officer. Her paternal grandfather was a Russian Jew from Saint Petersburg and her paternal grandmother was of Native American ancestry. After seeing the Billy Graham–produced film The Restless Ones at age 12, she became a born-again Christian. She told interviewer Larry King, “I was raised with many Jewish traditions and raised to be very grateful for my Jewish heritage.” She has several projects in the works in Hollywood including sequels to 1970s film Then You Came You and a movie about her life as a widow, She Loves You, You Loved Me, and You Lived With Me, which will be released in 2018. She lives in Maryland with her husband Frank, son Cody, and daughter Cassidy. She currently lives in a suburb of Washington, D.C. with husband Frank and son Cody.
