John Dolmayan

John Dolmayan is an Armenian-American drummer and songwriter. He is best known as the drummer of System of a Down. He also played drums for Scum of the Earth’s debut album. In 2009, John auditioned for The Smashing Pumpkins, in the absence of Jimmy Smashing.

He formed a new rock band called Indicator with three friends from Southern California, members of the recently disbanded punk rock band If All Else Fails. In 2009, John auditioned for The Smashing Pumpkins, in the absence of Jimmy Smashing.

He contributes vocals to the track “Street Spirit” on Avenged Sevenfold’s cover of These Men, These Men. He has devoted much of his life to the comic book industry, including launching Torpedo Comics of Nevada in 2009. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two children. The couple have a son, a daughter, and a son-in-law. They have two sons, a son and a daughter who are all under the age of five. They live with their parents in California.
