Jango Fett

Jango Fett is a fictional character and antagonist in the Star Wars franchise. He is a Mandalorian bounty hunter and the father of Boba Fett. He first appeared in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. The character has recently been featured in a number of canon works as well.

He first appeared in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, where he was portrayed by Temuera Morrison. Jango is covered in a sleek armored suit that conceals his scarred face. His name is a reference to the 1966 Corbucci film Django, featuring a hyper-violent drifter played by Franco Nero. The character has recently been featured in a number of canon works as well, including Star Wars Expanded Universe and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. In the animated series The Clone Wars, he is mentioned several times, including in the episode “The Plot to kill the Mandalorian Prime Minister, Almeces Fett” In the episode, Obi-Wan mentions his encounter with Jango to the New Mandalore Minister, who dismisses Jango’s ties to the Mandalorians as a waste of time.

He has been voiced by Jeff Bennett in the games StarWars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Star wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Andrew Chaikin in the PSP version of Star Wars The Force Unleashed. He also appears in the video games Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Star Wars Republic Commando, and StarWars Republic Commando: Elite Squadron, among others. He was also portrayed by Bob Marshall in a commercial for Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and voiced by Tim Morrison in Attack of the Clones. In Star Wars Episode II – Attack of the-Clones, Jango was depicted as a bounty hunter who had been hired to be the genetictemplate for the Grand Army of the Republic, becoming entangled in a shady plot.
