Fisher is a member of a group of elite students from L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, where she studied clown, mime, musical theatre and commedia dell’arte. She also toured with Darren Aronofsky in the musical Summer Day in the UK and appeared in the London production of Così in the Summer. She is married to Australian actor Peter Cushing and has four children. She lives in Athens, Greece, with her mother and siblings. She said: ‘I like working on Home and away but it’s a heavy workload so I get stressed out a lot, We work about 15 hours a day, including the time it takes to learn lines. But I am very grateful because it is good experience. It’s like an apprenticeship but we do it in front of 20 million people so all our mistakes are up for the world to see.’ She has said: ‘It could all end tomorrow and I would just fade back into obscurity.\’
