In November 2017 it announced that it will no longer charge a 5% fee per donation for US, UK, and UK individual campaigns and instead rely upon tips left by donors to support the website. As of November 2017, Go FundMe’s terms and conditions allow for campaigns for certain kinds of legal defense. Go Fund Me has received several awards for best workplace technology in 2017, including best technology in small and medium companies in the bay area and best workplace in giving back in Canada.
