About Final Fantasy X in brief

Summary Final Fantasy XFinal Fantasy X is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square as the tenth main entry in the Final Fantasy series. Originally released in 2001 for PlayStation 2, the game was re-released as Final Fantasy XX-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2013, for PlayStation 4 in 2015, Microsoft Windows in 2016, and for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in 2019. The game marks the series transition from entirely pre-rendered backdrops to fully three-dimensional areas. The player character is Tidus, a star athlete in the fictional sport of blitzball, who finds himself in Spira after Sin destroyed his home city of Zanarkand. Final Fantasy X was both a critical and commercial success, shipping over 8. 5 million units worldwide on PlayStation 2. It is considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time. On March 13, 2003, it was followed by Finalantasy X-2, making it the first Final Fantasy game to have a direct game sequel. Unlike previous games, the world and town maps have been fully integrated, with terrain outside of cities rendered to scale. Like previous games in the series, Final FantasyX features numerous minigames, most notably the fictional underwater sport \”blitzball\”. The player can control up to three characters in battle, though a swapping system allows the player to replace them with a character outside the active party at any time. In the game, the player acquires Aeons through the course of the game.

Whereas in previous titles a creature would arrive through the game and then depart, the Aeons arrive and entirely replace the battle party, fighting in their place until the battle is won or the player is dismissed by the Aeon. While initially the Overdrives can only be used when the character receives a significant amount of damage, in the game the player can modify the requirements to unlock them. The Aeons can be used to modify the summoning system of previous games of the series as well as the abilities of the summoner Yuna and the player’s character Tidus. The gameplay of Final Fantasyx differs from that of previous Final Fantasy games in its lack of a top-down perspective world map. The ordering of turns can be affected by a number of spells, items, and abilities that inflict status effects upon the controlled characters or the enemies. As Tidus explores the world, he randomly encounters enemies. When an enemy is encountered, the environment switches to a turn-based battle area where characters and enemies await their turn to attack. The game was the first in the main series not entirely scored by Nobuo Uematsu; Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano were signed as Uamatsu’s fellow composers. It was also the first game to feature voice acting, with the game being the first to be released with a budget of more than US$32. 3 million and a team of over 100 people. It has been described as the most successful Final Fantasy title to date.
