Dave Navarro

David Michael Navarro is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, presenter and actor. He is a member of the alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His mother was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, John Riccardi, in March 1983. He has been married three times: celebrity makeup artist Tania Goddard-Saylor, Rhian Gittins, and model and actress Carmen Electra.

In 2015, Navarro released the documentary Mourning Son, which details his mother’s murder and his spiral into drug addiction, as well as the pain he has had to overcome in the years since her death. He was a performer at the Republican National Convention in 2012 in which Mitt Romney was nominated for president. In 1995, he played for Alan Morissette’s track You Know Oughta Know on the 1990 John Lennon Tribute to the Working Class Hero: A tribute to John Lennon. He also played on One Minute of the Minute, which was released in 1995 as a single and on the One Minute Of The Minute soundtrack. He later recorded a cover of the Ohio Players’ song Love Rollercoaster for the Beavis and Butthead America soundtrack. His first large-scale performance with the band at Woodstock ’94 was Woodstock. He appeared on the cover of John Lennon’s song Do You Know Who I am? in the film John Lennon: A Tribute To The Working Classhero. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two children. He and his wife have a son, a daughter, and a son-in-law, both of whom live in New York City and Los Angeles. They have two daughters, a son and a daughter who live in San Francisco. He recently released a solo album, Trust No One, and has appeared on several reality TV shows and on a number of reality television shows. He plays guitar in the band Deconstruction and has also played in the bands The Panic Channel and The Panic channel.
