Daniel Ryan Cormier is an American retired professional mixed martial artist and amateur wrestler. He is the second fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously. Cormier has also been an analyst and commentator for the UFC. In the summer of 2018, he was appointed the head wrestling coach at Gilroy High School in Gilroy, Louisiana.

He is the second fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously. Cormier has also been an analyst and commentator for the UFC. In high school at Northside High, Cormier won 3 Louisiana state championships in wrestling. After high school, he attended Colby Community College in Kansas, where he was a two-time junior college national champion at 197 pounds, in 1998 and 1999. After graduating from OSU with a degree in sociology, he went on to have a successful career in Freestyle Wrestling. He was the senior U.S. national champion every year from 2003–2008, and represented team USA at the world level for each of those years. At the 2004 Olympics, he came 4th after losing to Khadzhimurat Gatsalov in the semifinals. He also won a gold medal at the quadrennial Pan American Games in 2003. He made his professional debut in September 2009, making his debut in the 184lb weight class. In the summer of 2018, he was appointed the head wrestling coach at Gilroy High School in Gilroy, Louisiana. He trained with Cain Velasquez, Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck and Josh Lawal at American Kickboxing Academy. It helped him improve as a striker and submission wrestler. After the 2008 Olympics he decided to pursue a professional career in mixed martial arts.

He competed in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion and King of the Cage Heavyweight Champion. In 2010, he became a UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight champion. He has also appeared in a number of reality TV shows, including The Voice of America and The Voice Of America. In 2011, he appeared in the reality series The Voice, which he co-hosted with his father, Joseph Cormier, and his brother, Ferral Cormier. In 2012, he starred in a reality series, The Voice With Ferral and Ferral, starring with his brother Joseph and his sister Felicia. He appeared in an episode of The Voice with his mother, Felicia, and brother Ferral. In 2013, he had a role in the film The Voice 2, in which he appeared as the voice of Ferral’s brother, Joseph. In 2014, he also starred in the movie The Voice 3, which also featured his brother and Felicia’s sister. He had a cameo role in The Voice 4, as well as appearing in a series of other reality shows, such as The Voice 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, and 12, including a cameo appearance by his brother. In 2015, he made his debut as a UFC analyst for the company. He currently works as an analyst for The UFC and has appeared in several reality TV series, including TLC’s The Voice 6, TLC 7, and TLC 8, 10 and 11. He won a bronze medal in the world championships in Greco-Roman Wrestling cadet division in 1995.
