Call Me by Your Name is a 2017 coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino. Its screenplay, by James Ivory, is based on the 2007 novel of the same name by André Aciman. The film chronicles the romantic relationship between a 17-year-old, Elio Perlman, and Oliver. The soundtrack features two original songs by American singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens. It received four nominations at the 90th Academy Awards, winning for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The film also stars the French actresses Amira Casar, Esther Garrel, and Victoire Du Bois. It received four nominations at the 90th Academy Awards, winning for Best Adapted Screenplay. It also won at the 23rd Critics’ Choice Awards, 71st British Academy Film Awards, and the Writers Guild of America Awards 2017. It began a limited release in the U.S. on November 24, 2017, and went on general release on January 19, 2018. The soundtrack features two original songs by American singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens. It is the final installment in Guadagsino’s thematic \”Desire\” trilogy, after I Am Love, and A Bigger Splash. The film was financed by several international companies, and its principal photography took place mainly in the city and comune of Crema, Lombardy, between May and June 2016. The filmmakers spent weeks decorating Villa Albergoni, one of the main shooting locations, for the film’s main shooting location. It was released in the United States by Sony Pictures Classics before its premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2017.

In the UK, it was released by Bleecker Street on January 25, 2018, and is available on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK and North America. It has been released in Australia on January 26, 2018 and in the US on January 27, 2018; the UK release date has yet to be announced. The US release date for the UK version of the film has not yet been announced; it is expected to be released on January 28, 2018 in the USA.
