They have won five league titles, three DFB-Pokals, and two UEFA Europa League titles. Since 2004, they have played at Borussia-Park, having previously played at the Bökelbergstadion since 1919. The name Borussia is a Latinized form of Prussia, which was a popular name for German clubs in the former Kingdom of Prussian. The team joined the Bundesliga in 1965, and saw the majority of its success in the 1970s, where, under the guidance of Hennes Weisweiler and then Udo Lattek, they captured five league championships. They also won two UEFA Cup titles during this period and reached a European Cup final in 1977. They are the fifth largest club in Germany, with over 75,000 members. Their main rivals are FC Köln, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Bayer Leverkusen, with whom they contest the Rheinland Derby. They won the German Cup in 1960, and later won the DFB Pokal in 1961, and the European Cup in 2012. In 2013, the club won the Bundesliga for the first time in their history, winning the title in the final against Werder Bremen. In 2014, Borussia won their second Bundesliga title, after winning the Oberliga West in the previous season. In 2015, they won their third league title, and their fourth in the following season’s Oberliga title.

They were also crowned German champions in the 2014/15 Bundesliga season. They play their home games at the Borussia Park in the city of Mönchen. The stadium was built during the First World War, but was not completed until after the Second World War. It is one of the oldest football grounds in the world, having been built in 1914. The ground is located in the Eicken district of the city, which is home to the city’s football club, Mönchesburg. The city’s name is German for ‘Gladbach’, which means ‘beautiful’ or ‘dignified’ in German. The town’s name was once known as München-München, and is now known as ‘MöncheNGladbach’ The club was founded in 1900 by a group of players who, after leaving the sports club Germania, founded the new club on 17 November 1899 in the restaurant \”Anton Schmitz\” on the Alsstraße in Eicken District. In 1919, FC Borussia merged with another local club, Turnverein Germania 1889, becoming 1899 VfTuR M. Gladbach. By 1912, Die Borussen found itself in the Verbandsliga, at the time the highest division the club could play in. After the outbreak of World War II, play continued as usual, other than for the 1944–45 season. After many years of promotions and relegations, they gained successive promotions to the Landesliga Niederrhein in 1949 and the topflight, the Oberligas West, in 1950.
