Bogdan Bogdanović is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association. The swingman also represents the Serbian national basketball team internationally. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 27th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, with his draft rights being traded to the Sacramento Kings during the 2016 NBA draft. In 2017, he was named the 2017 All-Europe Player of the Year by the international basketball website Eurobasket. com.

He also earned an All-EuroLeague First Team and a EuroBasket All-Tournament Team selection in 2017. In April 2014 he was selected to the Ideal Team of the ABA League. In May 2014, he voted the EuroLeague Rising Star of the Season by the head coaches of the 24 EuroLeague teams of Partizan, Red Star Belgrade, and KK Žitko Basket. In the summer of 2014 he transferred to Red Star, where he exploded in the league Finals, averaging 30 points, 4. 8 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. He has also been called up to the Serbia national team for the 2014 FIBA World Cup. He is a member of the FMP junior team, which won the Nike International Junior Tournament in Paris in May 2010. In September 2010, 18-year-old Bogdanovic signed his first professional contract with PartizAn. He made his EuroLeague debut with the team in the 2012–13 season, averaging 5 points per game and 1.8 rebounds per game over 6 appearances.

In January 2013, he scored a career-high 27 points, shooting 10 for 16 from the field, in a game against CSKA Moscow in Belgrade. In February 2014, his teammate Jgne Lauverne, along with his teammate Luka Pajković, was selected for the Ideal League of the Month for February. In March 2014, Bogdanovic was named to the A BA League Rising Star Team of The Month for the month of April. In June 2014, after winning the Serbian League Finals 3–1 in the finals, he won the MVP award for the league’s Finals series against Red Star. In August 2014,  he was voted the Rising Star League of The month for the season’s finals series between Red Star and Cibona. In November 2014, he was chosen to the European Champions League All-Star Team along with Janković, Lauverner, and Nemanja Bezbradica. In December 2014, with the help of teammate Jankovski-Turanjanin, he played in the Euro League finals against CSK Moscow. He won the Finals series 3-1, defeating archrivals Red Star Red Star 3-0 in the final. In July 2015, he became the first Serbian player to play in the Champions League finals in three consecutive seasons. He played for FMP’s junior team featuring Nenad Miljenović and Stefan Popovski in the 2010–11 season.
