Anita Madeleine Harris is an English actress, singer and entertainer. Harris sang with the Cliff Adams Singers and had a number of chart hits in the 1960s. She appeared in the Carry On films Follow That Camel and Carry On Doctor.

She appeared in the Carry On films Follow That Camel and Carry On Doctor. Harris was born in Somerset and moved to Bournemouth when she was seven. Her chart breakthrough came in the summer of 1967 with the single \”Just Loving You\”, a Tom Springfield composition which Dusty Springfield had suggested that Tom give to Harris. In January 1968 Harris made her only appearance on the UK album chart when her Just Loving You album reached No. 29. She made her final appearance with her rendition of “Dream A Little Dream of Me” on her third album, A Cuddles and a Cuddly Baby, released on 26 July 1968, which peaked in the UK Top 50 at No. 33, whilst the Mama Cass version of the song peaked at No 11, taking her to the top of the UK charts for the first time in her career.

She has been married to Mike Margolis since 1973, and they have two children, a son and a daughter. The couple have a daughter, Tuppenny, who is also an actress and has appeared in several Carry On movies and TV shows. Harris has also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums and several singles, including two versions of the Burt Bacharach composition “London Life” and a remake of “Annziversary” She has also appeared in numerous television shows, including The Voice and The Grand Budapest Hotel, as well as appearing in the film version of The Godfather: Particulars, which was released in 1973. She is also the subject of a book, The Godparents: The Story of Anita Harris, published by Simon & Schuster, with a foreword by David Walliams. The book is out now and is available in hardback and paperback.
