Her debut studio album, Wildflower, was released on October 11, 2011. Alaina later achieved her first No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart with the album’s title track. Her second No. 1 came later that year when she simultaneously topped five Billboard charts with her friend and former classmate Kane Brown on their duet \”What Ifs\”. She was on Dancing with the Stars and placed 4th alongside her partner Gleb Savchenko. She performed at the Grand Ole Opry Goes Pink, a benefit concert for the Women of the Cure, on November 10, 2011, for the first time. She also performed on Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly and The Ellen DeGeneres Show on October 22, 2011 and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on October 25, 2011 for the 10th season of Idol. She has released two albums: Wildflower and Road Less Traveled, which was released January 27, 2017, and was the best-selling digital country album by a female artist in the US. She is married to singer-songwriter/producer/actor/actor Jason Priestley and has a daughter, Kaitlin Alaina, who was born on November 8, 2013.

The couple have a son and a daughter-in-law, both of whom are also singers and have appeared on American Idol and Dancing With the Stars. They are expecting their first child, a son, in the spring of 2014. She currently lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband and two daughters, Kailah and Kaitlyn. She previously worked at CiCi’s Pizza and was a cheerleader at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. She wrote several songs including \”Leaving\” and \”Set Me Free\”. Alaina was inspired to sing by her cousin, Holly Witherow,. who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She sang in church, restaurants, family holiday gatherings and anywhere within a 30-mile radius of where she lived. At age eight, Alaina entered the talent competition of the Southern Stars Pageant and won. She traveled to Orlando, Florida, when she was ten to compete in the American Model and Talent Competition. She won the event, beating out 1,500 kids. At 12, she performed at Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival.
