Kevin George Knipfing, known professionally as Kevin James, is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his role as Doug Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens. James has appeared in the films Hitch, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Grown Ups, Zookeeper, Here Comes the Boom, and Pixels.

James co-starred with Adam Sandler in the comedy You Don’t Have To Be Funny. He hosted the 2010 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 27, 2010, and was a nominee into the Arm Fart of Fames of the next year’s show as Kevin \”Not-Quite-Good-As-Me\” James; Josh Duhamel of the Hall of Fame of the Next Generation. James is married to Carrie, a sharp-tongued, ambitious secretary at a Manhattan law firm who is far less content with working-class life in Queens. He made his film debut in the 2005 romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith and Eva Mendes.
