Conor David Coady is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers and the England national team. He is a product of the Liverpool Youth Academy after joining the club in 2005. He spent a season on loan at Sheffield United and then moved to Huddersfield Town on a permanent transfer in 2014. A year later he signed for Wolves for £2million and has played over 200 games for the club, winning the Championship in 2017–18 season.

He has also represented England at youth level, being named in the team of the tournament as England won the 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and captaining the England under-20 team at the 2013 under- 20 World Cup.

In September 2017 he signed a new four-year contract. On 21 April 2018, during his 120th appearance for Wolves, he scored a 66th-minute penalty in a 4-0 win against Bolton Wanderers to seal the Championship title. On 15 February 2019, he was an ever-present player for Wolves as they reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League in both the 2019–20 Premier League and 2019–19 Premier League in 2019–2020. He was named as the club’s captain for the 2018–19 season and has also played every minute of Wolves’ Europa League campaign in both seasons so far. In June 2018, he signed his first contract with the club lasting to June 2023.
