William Gerard Anthony Holohan is an Irish public health physician. He has served as Chief Medical Officer of Ireland since May 2008. Holohan played a prominent role in the CervicalCheck cancer scandal. On 2 July 2020, he temporarily stepped back from his position due to family issues.
