Sean John Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, Puffy, or Diddy, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, record executive, entrepreneur, and actor. His debut album, No Way Out, was released on July 1, 1997, through Bad Boy Records. In 2009, Combs formed the musical group Dirty Money and released the critically and commercially successful album Last Train to Paris. He has won three Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.

His father, Melvin Earl Combs,. served in the U.S. Air Force and was an associate of convicted New York drug dealer Frank Lucas. At age 33, Melvin was shot to death while sitting in his car on Central Park West, when Combs were 2 years old. His mother, Janice, was a model and teacher’s assistant and his father was a former model and model. He has three children with his wife, Jodeci, and a daughter with his ex-wife, Tanya. He has two step-children with his second wife, Toni, and one step-son with his third wife, Gisele Bündchen. He is the father of two sons, Diddy Jr. and D’Lil, who was born on November 4, 1969 in Manhattan’s Harlem. His son, Darryl, is the son of former New York Mayor Michael J. Bloomberg and ex-New York City Mayor Michael Zuckerman. His daughter, LZ Granderson, has a son with ex-NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, and daughter-in-law Yolanda, who lives in Los Angeles. In 2011, he released his first solo album, Forever, which has been certified seven times platinum.
