Dom DeLuise

Dominick DeLuise was an American actor, director, producer, chef and author. He rose to fame in the 1970s as a frequent guest on television variety shows. He also voiced the legendary character of Charles Dickens’ Fagin in the Walt Disney film Oliver & Company. He was a mainstay of Burke’s Law, an American television series that aired on CBS during the 1993–94 and 1994–95 television seasons. He later starred in his own sitcom, Lotsa Luck.

Summary Dom DeLuiseDominick DeLuise was an American actor, director, producer, chef and author. He rose to fame in the 1970s as a frequent guest on television variety shows. He is often identified for his work in the films of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, as well as a series of collaborations and appearances with Burt Reynolds. Beginning in the 1980s, his popularity expanded to younger audiences from voicing characters in several major animated productions, particularly those of Don Bluth. He also voiced the legendary character of Charles Dickens’ Fagin in the Walt Disney film Oliver & Company and made voice guest appearances on several animated TV series. He was a mainstay of Burke’s Law, an American television series that aired on CBS during the 1993–94 and 1994–95 television seasons.

He later starred in his own sitcom, Lotsa Luck. He appeared in Blazing Saddles, The Twelve Chairs, and The Jonathan Winters Show. He died of a heart attack at the age of 69. He had a son, Nicholas, and a daughter, Antoinette. He has a son and daughter-in-law, both of whom are actresses. He and his wife Carol Arthur also have two sons, Nicholas and Nicholas Jr., and a grandson, Nicholas Jr. The couple had three children, Nicholas Nicholas, Jr. and Nicholas Nicholas De Luise, III, who is also an actor. They also have a son named Nick Nicholas, III who is an actor and a father-of-two. DeLuises was a Roman Catholic and had a particular devotion to the Virgin Mary. He lived in Brooklyn, New York.
