He starred as Christopher Ewing in the TNT continuation of Dallas, based on the 1978 series of the same name. Since 2016, he has starred as Trace Riley in Hallmark Channel’s hit series Chesapeake Shores. He was born in Carmel Valley Village, California, the son of Nancy and Jeff Met calfe. His father is of English, Irish, French, and Italian descent and his mother is of Italian and Portuguese descent. He dropped out of New York University once he booked the part of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the soap opera Passions.

He also starred in the horror film Insanitarium portraying the protagonist, Jack. In February 2011, he was confirmed to star in the drama series Dallas. The series premiered on September 20, 2010, and went up for 14 seasons on July 14, 2011. In September 2010, he starred as Noah McManus in the Hallmark movie Road Road alongside Natalie Fairfield and Natalie Lisinska. The film was released in October and went on to make over USD 507,534 worldwide on a limited theatrical release in selected countries. It was announced in March 2004 that he would not be renewing his contract with the series, and his final airdate was in July 2004.
