In 2005, he returned to off-Broadway theater in the premiere of Noah Haidle’s Mr. Marmalade, playing an emotionally disturbed girl’s imaginary friend. At the end of 2014, he replaced John Cameron Mitchell, who had a knee injury, and performed the role of Hedwig and The Angry Inch on Broadway on October 16, 2014, until January 18, 2015. He assumed the title role in Hedwig on October 15, 2015, and played the role until January 16, 2016. He played Lancelot in Camelot, Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. In the summer of 1995, Hall toured as Billy Sam in Chicago.
