He has represented the Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In April 2019, he became the youngest bowler to take a hat-trick in an IPL match, at the age of 20. Curran was named one of the five breakout stars in men’s cricket in 2018. He made his Test debut in June 2018, making his One Day International debut against Australia. He was omitted from the England Test team for the third Test against India, but returned in place of the injured Chris Woakes.

In March 2019 he was named as one of eight players to watch by the International Cricket Council ahead of the 2019 IPL tournament. In June 2018 he made his one-day international debut against India at Edgbaston. He scored 78 in England’s first innings, but registered his first duck in the fifth Test at The Oval. In the second Test, he top scored in the Rose Bowl, where he was awarded the Player of the Match award. In December 2018, he was bought by theKings XI Punjab in the player auction for the 2019 IndianPremier League for 7. 20 crore Rupees.
