Michail Gregory Antonio is an English footballer who plays for West Ham United. He began his career at non-League club Tooting & Mitcham United. Antonio has also played for Reading, Cheltenham Town, Southampton, Colchester United, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest. In August 2014, Antonio signed a three-year contract with Premier League club West Ham.

Michail Gregory Antonio is an English footballer who plays for West Ham United. He began his career at non-League club Tooting & Mitcham United. Antonio has also played for Reading, Cheltenham Town, Southampton, Colchester United, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest. He helped the Owls to promotion on the final day of the season, scoring the first goal in a 2–0 victory over already relegated Wycombe Wanderers. In August 2014, Antonio signed a three-year contract with Premier League club West Ham. He was named in the Premier League Team of the Year after scoring nine goals in the 2013-14 season. Antonio is also a member of the England Under 21 squad. He has been capped at under-21 level and has played for the England U21s. Antonio was born in Wandsworth, Greater London, but moved to Tooting at the age of 12. He played for Tooting and Mitcham for six seasons before joining Reading in 2008. He also spent time on loan at Colchester, Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday. He signed for Nottingham Forest for a fee in the region of £1.5million in August 2012. He is currently on a four-year deal with the Championship club after signing a new deal with them in August 2014.
Antonio also has a contract with Championship club Reading until the end of the 2015-16 season. He made his debut for Reading in an away match with Hendon at age of 17, scoring to level scores at 1–1. He then went on to represent Reading in the FA Cup and League Cup. He scored in the first leg of the Football League Trophy area final against Milton Keynes Dons, with the match finishing 1–0. Antonio scored again in the 4–1 2010 Football League trophy win over Carlisle United at Wembley Stadium on 28 March 2010, which was his 20th birthday, bringing Antonio his first silverware. He went on loan to Colchester in August 2011, where he scored four goals in 15 league outings for the club. On 21 February 2012, Antonio joined Sheffield Wednesday on an emergency loan deal. He later signed a permanent contract with the club on 6 August 2012, after a third and final bid for the player was accepted by Sheffield United. In his first season with Forest, Antonio had been leading the scoring charts with nine goals and three assists.
