About Anna Nicole Smith in brief
Anna Nicole Smith was an American model, actress, and television personality. She won the title of 1993 Playmate of the Year for Playboy magazine. Smith dropped out of high school at age 14 in 1982, married in 1985, and divorced in 1993. Smith died in 2007 in a Hollywood, Florida hotel room as a result of an overdose of prescription drugs. She was the focus of renewed press coverage surrounding the death of her son, Daniel, and the paternity and custody battle over her newborn daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead. Smith was successful as a model, but she never found the same recognition or success as an actress. She made her screen debut in the 1994 screwball comedy film The Hudsucker Proxy as Za-Za, a flirtatious celebrity who flirts with the lead character, played by Tim Robbins, in a barbershop scene. In the late 1990s, Smith focused her career on television. She appeared on the variety series Sin City Spectacular in 1998 and the pilot episode of The Naked Truth in 1995. In 1996, Smith appeared in the low-budget, direct-to-video film Skyscraper in which she played a role as a pivotal contact to a crime. Her role in the film earned her favorable reviews and the film enjoyed box office success. Despite the publicity for her performance in both films, Smith’s persona of a ditzy dumb blonde was compressed heavily in the films only to market them to market her physical assets.
In an attempt to earn acting respect, Smith agreed to appear in the 1995 film Limit To The Limit, her first starring role. She also appeared as herself in The Naked To The Truth, her first role in 1995, and in the pilot of The Truth in 1998. She died of an apparent overdose in a Los Angeles hotel room in 2007. She is survived by her three children and two step-children. She had a daughter with her second husband, J. Howard Marshall, and a son with her third husband, Donald R. Hart. Smith’s mother married Donald Hart in 1971, after which Smith changed her name from Vickie Hogan to Nikki Hart. The couple had five half-siblings. Smith and Hart had a son named Daniel, who was born in 1992 and died in 2003. Smith had two children with her fourth husband, Michael Hart, who died in 2004. Smith has a daughter and a step-daughter with her fifth husband, David Hart. She has a son and a daughter-in-law with her seventh husband, Matthew Hart. Her daughter and step-son have a son together, Michael and David Hart, Jr. Smith also has a stepdaughter, Victoria Hart, and daughter- in-law Jennifer Hart, whose husband is also a former Playboy Playmate. Her son and stepdaughter have two children together. Smith is the mother of two-year-old daughter-of-two-year old daughter, Victoria Smith. She lived in Houston, Texas, with her husband Michael Hart and her mother and an aunt.
