Perry made his professional debut in September 2014, after completing 11 amateur fights with a record of 8-3. Perry was expected to face Yancy Medeiros on July 7, 2018, but he pulled out of the fight citing a rib injury. Perry signed a new deal with the UFC on November 10, 2018. He will now face Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 139 on July 27, 2019. The fight is expected to take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Perry is currently on a four-fight winning streak. He has won his last four fights by stoppage, including a unanimous decision against Jake Ellenberger on April 22, 2017.

Perry has lost his last two fights by knockout, the last of which was against Santiago Ponzinibbio on December 16, 2017, atUFC on Fox: Lawler vs. dos Anjos. He is on a three-fight losing streak.
