At Texas Christian University (TCU), Dalton’s story took another turn. He was redshirted his freshman year but quickly became the starter after two weeks of competition with Marcus Jackson. As a senior, he finished with an impressive record of 30 wins as the Horned Frogs’ starting quarterback, surpassing Sammy Baugh as TCU’s all-time wins leader.

His college career culminated in a perfect 13–0 record and a #2 ranking in the AP Poll after leading TCU to victory over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Professional Career with the Bengals
